It was the greatest men’s shot put contest of all time. Just one centimetre separated the medallists as the championship record was broken time and again at the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha. Joe Kovacs shocked the competition to win gold with a monster throw of 22.91m, ahead of pre-tournament favourites Ryan Crouser and Tom Walsh, who both threw 22.90m.
