BLACKSBURG – After a busy fall of recruiting, nine athletes put pen to paper to join the Virginia Tech Track & Field and Cross Country squads.
The class features two transfers already competing with Tech this year, and six future Hokies set to continue Virginia Tech’s tradition of ACC championships and national success. On and off the track, these eight athletes are ready to push for the excellence that the Hokies’ program has become known for.
“This class is outstanding from a standpoint of quality and building more depth on our current team that has very few seniors,” Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Dave Cianelli said. “Each of these individuals has the ability to contribute at the conference level immediately and eventually the national level. I envision this class helping to make the 2022-23 season the most successful in the history of our program.”
