EUGENE, Ore. – Current athletes and alumni of the NC State track & field teams wrapped up competition at the 2022 USATF Championships and USATF U20 Championships on Sunday, competing across eight events throughout the course of the weekend.
Cravont Charleston (’21) ran the second-fastest time in the first round of the men’s 100m with a 10.07 and registered a 10.05 in the event semifinals. He additionally competed in the 200m, posting a 20.57 in the first round before concluding competition in the semifinals with a 20.50.
Olympian Gabriele Cunningham (’19) automatically advanced out the first round of the women’s 100m hurdles with a 12.73 that was the fourth-fastest time in her heat. A 12.73 in the semifinals qualified her to the event final in which she placed seventh with a mark of 13.00.
A pair of current Wolfpack runners competed in the men’s 100m hurdles, each running times in the first round that were close to their personal bests. Joshua Brockman’s 13.62 was good to advance him to the semifinals while Cameron Murray ran just off his PR with a 13.71. Brockman, already the school record holder, lowered the program record with his 13.55 in the semis.
Elly Henes (’21) and Katelyn Tuohy raced in the women’s 5000m, placing ninth and 13th, respectively. Henes clocked a 16:00.08 for her top-10 finish while Tuohy charted a 16:08.80.
On the men’s side of the 5000m, Graham Crawford (’16) ran a 14:07.57 to place 17th.
Alexander Nunley was the Pack’s representative at the USATF U20 Championships, competing in the 100m and 200m. He placed 10th overall in the 100m with a 10.62 and 9th overall in the 200m with a 21.60.
