NEW ORLEANS – The Washington State University women’s and men’s track and field programs had 14 student-athletes nationally recognized as United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honorees as announced by the organization Wednesday.
Both men’s and women’s programs were also recognized with the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award as the men’s team finished the spring semester with a collective 3.14 cumulative GPA while the women’s program combined for an impressive 3.42 cumulative GPA.
USTFCCCA All-Academic honorees were selected based on a combination of both athletic and academic performance standards.
Team selections require a minimum combined cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher for all student-athletes on the teams’ indoor or outdoor NCAA squad list.
