'Cuse Cross Country Announces 2022 Slate

The Syracuse cross country teams will begin their 2022 slate on Sept. 3 at Colgate, before traversing a seven-meet regular season across five states, leading towards the ACC Championships on Oct. 28 and NCAA meets in November.

The ‘Cuse slate opens with the Harry Lang Invitational (9/3), followed by the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational (9/9) and Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown (9/23), a three-meet stretch that has become customary to kick off the year under Head Coach Brien Bell.

The Orange will then get a preview of this year’s NCAA Championship course on Sept. 24, when they travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma for the Cowboy Jamboree hosted by Oklahoma State.

As they will that September weekend between Boston and Oklahoma, the teams will split up again on Oct. 14. Some members of the team will race in the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, while others will head back to Penn State for the Penn State National Open.

The regular season concludes on Oct. 21 at the John Reif Memorial.

‘Cuse will race at the ACC Championships on Oct. 28 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Both teams finished in the top-four of their respective races last season, with the men taking second.

NCAA Regionals will be in the Bronx on Nov. 11, before the NCAA Championships return to Stillwater a week later. Both the men and the women qualified for the NCAA Championships a season ago.
