SEATTLE — Washington Cross Country has mapped out its route to nationals, and it will include a championship meet at home, as the Huskies will be hosting NCAA West Regionals on Nov. 11.
The Huskies have five meets on the schedule, beginning with the Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Sept. 24. Stillwater will be the site of the NCAA Championships at the end of the season on Nov. 19, so the Huskies will look to start and finish in the Midwest.
The second meet will be the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Oct. 14. From there the Dawgs will travel to L.A. as USC hosts the Pac-12 Championships on Oct. 28.
Washington will host West Regionals this year at Chambers Creek Park in University Place, Wash. It will be the second meet the Huskies have hosted on the course, the first one being the Pac-12 Championships in the spring of 2021.
The goal will be a return to Stillwater for NCAAs on Nov. 19. Last season, the UW women placed 11th at NCAAs while the men finished 13th.
