CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois women’s and men’s cross country teams placed second and fourth respectively at the Bradley Pink Classic. Senior Olivia Howell paced the Illini women with a new personal-best 6K (20:09.8) and placed third overall. Graduate student Colin Yandel led the Illini men with a new personal-best 8k (23:45.3) and finished 10th overall.
Graduate student Emma Milburn notched another top-ten finish, placing sixth overall (20:20). Breaking personal-records was a commonality for the Illini women today including: fifth year Madison Marasco (20:37.6) Sophomore Halle Hill (20:51.2), fifth year Ayah Aldadah (21:21.7) and sophomore Maggie Gamboa (21:29.8).
Personal-records were set on the men’s team as well, almost everyone who ran. Junior Tyler Cushing (24:06.6), graduate student Irwin Loud (24:11.5), freshman Brady Masters (24:14.6), junior Anthony Maida (24:21), freshman Alex Partlow (24:30.1) and freshman Nicolas Dovalovsky (24:38.7).
