DEXTER, Mich. – Michigan State makes the short trip to Dexter, Mich. for the EMU Fall Classic on Friday, Oct. 21 at the Hudson Mills Metropark. The meet serves as the final regular season meet for the Spartans before next week’s Big Ten Championships.

The meet begins with the men’s 5k, set for 4:30 p.m. The women’s 5k will follow at 5 p.m.

The Spartans return to action after running at last week’s highly competitive Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invite. On the men’s side, sophomore Patrick Byrnes looks to carry the momentum from his 25:07 8k performance in Wisconsin. Parker Lambers (25:30), Matthew Zeleke (25:41), Luke Perelli (25:41) and Brady McArdle (25:58) also clocked sub-26 performances for MSU.

The Spartan women return several runners from last week’s Nuttycombe Invitational, led by freshman Meghan Beute. Beute finished 37th in the women’s ‘B’ race in Wisconsin, running 21:45 for 6k. Madison Price (22:12) and Megan Randall (22:28) also recorded top-100 finishes for the Spartans. Price also led a Spartan sweep at the Lansing Invitational on Sept. 30, leading Julia Bajt, Avery McLean, Tess Piper and Kaya Kuokkanen to top-10 individual finishes.

Michigan State returns to action on Friday, Oct. 28 at the Big Ten Championships. The meet will be held at the University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor, beginning at 10:45 a.m. for the women’s 6k, followed by the men’s 8k at 11:45 a.m.
