Colin Boler of Delbarton NJ and everyone else trying to get a qualifying time for the high school boys mile at the Millrose Games seemed doomed half way through Wednesday’s race at the Millrose Trials.

Boler, his twin brother Brian, Charlie Ortmans from Virginia and Micah Lawson from New Jersey — and everyone else — went through the 880 yards 2:13, even as announcer Ian Brooks was reminding them that the standard for a spot on the starting line on Feb. 11 was 4:15.

Lindsay Hausman of Kent Place NJ was the winner of the girls invitational mile and secured a Millrose Games spot with 4:56.36.
