Wes Shipsey, William Heslam, Logan Hofstee Confirmed For HS Miles In Spokane

Wes Shipsey and William Heslam from Portland and Brody Hartley from Walla Walla, Wash. lead the field of entries for the high school boys mile at the Lilac Grand Prix on Jan. 27 at The Podium in Spokane.

High school boys and girls miles are part of the planned professional slate of events hosted by Nike’s Union Athletic Club.

Shipsey, of Central Catholic OR, a Wake Forest recruit, ran 4:06.34 for the mile last year at the Nike/Jesuit Twilight Relays.

Heslam, of Roosevelt OR, is the Class 6A state meet runner-up in the 1,500 meters (3:51.13). And Hartley owns a 1,600-meter best of 4:10.31.

Zack Munson of Sehome, Wash. and Carter Cutting of Wilsonville, Ore. are also entered.

The girls field includes Logan Hofstee, an NXN qualifier from East Valley WA, Samira Kennedy from Castilleja CA in Palo Alto, Calif., and Ella Thorsett from Summit of Bend, Ore. The girls race still has some open slots. For more info how to enter, go to HERE
