Tennessee Sweeps 200m Dashes At Carolina Challenge


COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Tennessee track & field squad reigned victorious in both open 200-meter dash events to highlight Big Orange performances on Friday at the Carolina Challenge. True freshman Aidan McDuffie won on the men’s side with a time of 21.84 in his first collegiate meet, while senior Kyla Robinson-Hubbard finished first in a lifetime-best 24.37 for the Lady Vols.
 
Freshman T’Mars McCallum also shined for the Vols with a second-place finish in the long jump (7.01m/23-0) during the morning session before posting the fastest time of the 60-meter dash semifinals (6.82) later in the afternoon.
 
In total, Tennessee’s athletes combined to set five indoor personal records on Friday:

The action at South Carolina continues Saturday morning with the Vols and Lady Vols competing in several field events as well as the invite 400-meter and 200-meter dashes. Redshirt junior Chandler Hayden leads off at 11 a.m. in the women’s invitational weight throw, and the day will conclude with junior Skylar Coffey and graduate Israel Adesina competing in the men’s invite shot put at 3:30 p.m.
