NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt women’s track and field team posted a half dozen results that place among the top 10 in program history during the final day of the Vanderbilt Invitational at the David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center.

The Commodores also registered a first-place finish and several other personal bests to close the weekend that started with a pair of school records on Friday.

For the second week in a row, Vanderbilt’s 4×400-meter relay team posted the top time in the meet, as the B team won with a mark of 3:47.25.

A trio of Commodores posted 60-meter hurdle times that rank in the top 10 in program history. Taylor McKinnon led that effort with an 8.61 clocking, good for fifth in school history. Santana Spearman’s 8.65 second mark ranks sixth all-time while Allyria McBride finished in 8.75 seconds, which places 10th.

Ella Escobar clocked a 7.70 in the 60-meter dash that is sixth in school history.

In field events, Sarah Marvin’s shot put result of 15.35 meters is fourth in program history, while Laine Roberts equaled her best pole vault at 3.65, which ranks 10th.

Three other runners posted personal bests on Saturday: Madison Murray with a 1:00.82 in the 400 meters, Gigi Clifford with a 5:14.22 in the mile and Emma Curry with a 9:47.76 in the 3,000 meters.

Friday’s action was highlighted by Beatrice Juskeviciute setting a school record with 4,084 points in the pentathlon while Kosi Umerah bettered her weight throw school record with a 19.02 meter distance.

The Vanderbilt women’s track and field team will next be in action Jan. 27-28 at the PNC Lenny Lyles Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.
