The men’s distance medley relay team placed third and Johnny Brackins Jr. and JC Stevenson posted USC all-time top 10 indoor long jumps to highlight the Trojans’ limited action during the first day of the Razorback Invitational held at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. today (Jan. 27).
- The men’s distance medley relay team of Bobby Poynter, Michael Phillippy, Darius Rainey and Jack Carter took third place with a time of 10:00.68.
- Johnny Brackins Jr. took seventh in the men’s long jump with a leap of 25-7.25 (7.80m). That jump was less than an inch off his PR and is the sixth-farthest indoor jump in USC history. JC Stevenson had a best jump of 25-3.25 (7.70m) which was 12th on the day and it moves him to ninth on USC’s all-time indoor list.
- Caisja Chandler placed sixth in the women’s 200m with a time of 23.26.
- Dominique Ruotolo advanced to the finals of the women’s long jump and finished ninth with an indoor PR of 18-10.00 (5.74m).
USC will begin action in the final day of the Razorback Invitational tomorrow beginning with the men’s one-mile race which begins at 7:45 a.m. PT.
