Previewing the Noles

Most of the Seminoles had a week of rest after three strong weekends to open the season. The men currently sit 11th in the indoor USTFCCCA poll.

Jumper Jeremiah Davis and runner Ismael Kone headline the team heading to New Mexico. Davis earned three-straight ACC Field Performer of the Week honors with his incredible performances in the long and triple jump. He’ll compete in both events this weekend, looking to extend his world lead in the long jump and break further into the top of the triple jump leaderboard, currently with the 5th best mark of the season. Kone earned an ACC Track Performer of the Week nomination after he took the world lead in the 60m dash. He now sits tied for the best time this season and will look to take sole possession of the world lead back on Saturday.

For the women competing in Albuquerque, Freshman Dajaz DeFrand will hope to improve on her conference best time in the 200m dash and take top spot in the 60m dash. Kayla Pinkard and Victoria Josse compete in the long and triple jump, Pinkard holds the conference best while Josse sits 4th in the triple jump.

In Boston, 8 Noles will run in the Women’s 3000m run including Tallahassee native Alyson Churchill. Samuel Field will run the 1 Mile event and aim to break a sub-4 minute mile while Freshman Suus Altorf hopes to break into the ACC Top 10 times for the 800m run.
