SOUTH Bend, Ind. — The University of Michigan men’s track and field team saw it’s distance medley relay team of Arjun Jha, Dubem Amene, Cole Johnson and Nick Foster shatter the school record in the event at the Notre Dame Alex Wilson Invitational, the final meet of its regular season, on Saturday (Feb. 18) at the Loftus Sports Center.

The U-M quartet bested the school record set almost a year ago to the day at this event last year. Finishing fourth in 9:20.83 they topped the previous program record by nearly three seconds. The time also is the second fastest in Big Ten history, trailing only Wisconsin’s 9:19.99, which was run one heat after Michigan’s today. Amene, Johnson, and Foster were members of last year’s school record-winning DMR.

The Wolverines will enter the postseason Friday and Saturday (Feb. 24-25) at the Big Ten Championships at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Acton on Friday (Feb. 24) will begin at 10:30 a.m.
