Huskers Head to Big Ten Indoor Championships


The Nebraska track and field team is set compete at the Big Ten Indoor Championships this weekend at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. The two-day meet begins on Friday at 9:40 a.m. (CT), followed by a 10 a.m. start on Saturday. Both days of the meet will be streamed on B1G+.  

Big Ten Indoor Championships Meet Information

Dates: Feb. 24-25

Location: Geneva, Ohio (SPIRE Institute) 

Start Times: Friday – Field Events: 9:40 a.m. / Running Events: 11:40 a.m.

                      Saturday – Field Events: 10 a.m. / Running Events: 12:20 p.m.

Big Ten Leaders

Athletes who finish in the top eight of an event at the Big Ten Indoor Championships will score team points. Scoring goes as follows: 1st place – 10, 2nd place – 8, 3rd place – 6, 4th place – 5, 5th place – 4, 6th place – 3, 7th place – 2, 8th place – 1. 

The Huskers currently have 17 individuals ranked in the top five of an event heading into the conference meet. 

 

 

NCAA Leaders
Athletes who rank in the top 16 nationally at the end of the regular season will qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, which will be held March 10-11 in Albuquerque, N.M. The following Huskers currently rank in the top 16 in their respective events:
