Final entries for the Istanbul 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships from 2-5 March are now available to view.

The entry lists are highlighted by seven reigning Olympic champions from Tokyo 2020 as well as 18 individual gold medallists from the Munich 2022 European Athletics Championships.

The seven Olympic champions due to compete are: Lamont Marcell Jacobs (60m), Karsten Warholm (400m), Jakob Ingebrigtsen (1500/3000m), Miltiadis Tentoglou (long jump) and Pedro Pichardo (triple jump) on the men’s side and Malaika Mihambo (long jump) and Nafissatou Thiam (pentathlon) among the women.

Five of those seven athletes also won gold medals at the last edition of the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Torun. The exceptions were Malaika Mihambo who will be looking to upgrade on her silver medal in the long jump and Karsten Warholm who will be looking to regain the title he won in Glasgow 2019 when he equaled the European indoor record with 45.05.

In total, 15 individual champions from Torun – and both the Dutch 4x400m relay teams – will be defending their titles in Istanbul.

Fresh from smashing the world indoor 400m record, Femke Bol will be looking to defend her titles in both the 400m and 4x400m while Jakob Ingebrigtsen could bring his tally of European senior titles up to 11 if the 22-year-old defends his 1500m and 3000m titles.

The oldest athlete registered for the championships is Greek triple jumper Dimitrios Tsiamis (41y, 42d) and the youngest athlete registered is Andorran 400m runner Duna Vinals (16y, 267d).

Previews for the championships will be published from Sunday onwards and there will be extensive coverage ahead of and during the championships on the website and across our social media channels.

Live results and live streaming will be available through the European Athletics website. For more information on how to watch the championships, click here.
