Yanla Ndjip-Nyemeck will get things started for the Bruins in the 60m hurdles. The redshirt-sophomore qualified with an 8.07. In eight races this indoor season, Ndjip-Nyemeck has run an indoor top-10 time in every 60m hurdle competition in which she has competed.

The women’s distance medley relay will follow shortly after for UCLA. Gwyn George, Kate Jendrezak, Rose Pittman and Mia Barnett are set to compete in the DMR; Ashley Johnson, Mia Kane, Kaho Cichon and Angelina Shandro are alternates for the event. The women’s DMR ran a 10:54.59, a new indoor school record, at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational to qualify for this weekend’s events.

Ronan McMahon-Staggs will close out Monday’s competition running in the one-mile semifinal. The junior was the first Bruin to break the four-minute mark at an indoor meet, and he managed to do it in three consecutive races. McMahon-Staggs ran a 3:54.93 at the Arkansas Qualifier on Feb. 17, the fastest one-mile time in both indoor and outdoor competition for a Bruin.

Both men’s and women’s 4x400m relay will compete late Saturday. The women’s relay consists of Aly Conyers, Kate Jendrezak, Makenzy Pierre-Webster and Naomi Johnson; the relay team qualified with a 3:30.86. Rose Pittman, Maddy Doane and Yanla Ndjip-Ndjip Nyemeck will be alternates for the squad.
