PITTSBURGH- The University of Pittsburgh track & field team sends Felix Wolter and Ilse Steigenga to Albuquerque, N.M. this weekend for the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships. The meet will be streamed live on ESPN+ and re-aired on ESPNU on Sunday at 6 p.m. ET and Monday at 7 p.m. ET.
Felix Wolter– Men’s Heptathlon
- Wolter enters the championship meet ranked sixth in the NCAA in the heptathlon with a score of 6,059 which he recorded at the ACC Indoor Championships to earn his third straight ACC title in the event.
- The five athletes ahead of Wolter this year are Kyle Garland (Georgia), Ayden Owens-Delerme (Arkansas), Leo Neugebaur (Texas), Till Steinforth (Nebraska), and Bruno Comin Pescador (Washington).
- Wolter took home 12th place last season at the 2022 NCAA Indoor.
Ilse Steigenga– Women’s Long Jump
- Steigenga will enter as the nation’s fifth-best in women’s long jump with a mark of 6.55m (21’6″). The mark was set at the YSU Indoor Track & Field Icebreaker.
- The four athletes ahead of Steigenga are Jasmine Moore (Florida), Alysah Hickey (Oregon), Ackelia Smith (Texas), and Claire Bryant (Florida).

ESPN+ will stream the championships live starting at 11:30 a.m. Eastern time Friday, March 10 and starting at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time Saturday, March 11. There will be two re-airs of the meet. The first re-air will take place starting at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time on Sunday, March 12 on ESPNU. The second re-air of the championship will take place starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time Monday, March 13 on ESPNU.
