THE FLATS – Shanty Papakosta is set to represent the Georgia Tech track and field teams at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The championships will take place from Friday, March to Saturday, March 11 with Papakosta competing in the women’s high jump on Saturday at 1 p.m. MT/3 p.m. ET.
Papakosta earned her qualifying mark at the 2023 ACC Indoor Championship, where she championed the women’s high jump. The junior recorded three new personal-best marks, finishing with a height of 1.89 meter (6-2.25) and tying the fifth-best mark in the nation.
Papakosta is the first Yellow Jacket to qualify for the national meet in the women’s high jump since Tech’s school record and ACC meet record holder, Chaunte Howard, in 2005. She is also the only ACC high jumper competing in the women’s event at this year’s championships.
Watch & Live Stream Info: ESPN+ will stream the championships live starting at 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday, March 10 and starting at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 11. There will be two re-airs of the meet via ESPNU; 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 12 and 7 p.m. ET on Monday, March 13.
