ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—Sophomore Parker Wolfe finished fifth in the 5000 meters and the Tar Heel distance medley relay team finished sixth in a stellar Friday for the University of North Carolina at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Wolfe and the DMR group all earned All-America honors.

The DMR group of Jesse Hunt, Jared Williams, Kyle Reinheimer and Ethan Strand took sixth place with a time of 9:33.68.

The Tar Heels, who do not have any competitors slated to compete in Saturday’s final day of the NCAA Championships, earned seven team points based on the efforts of Wolfe and the DMR team.
