Colorado Kicks Off Outdoor Season In Oregon


BOULDER – The University of Colorado track program opens the outdoor season this Saturday at the Oregon Preview at Hayward Field.
 
The Buffs get things starting in the women’s shot put with Lauren Whyrick competing at 11:15 a.m. PT.
 
Tyler Sconce and graduate transfer Matt Ward will be representing the men’s team for the hammer throw. Ward will be making his outdoor debut for Colorado after transferring from the University of Montana. 
 
On the women’s side, Amanda Opp will make her debut in the hammer. The men’s hammer events begin at 2:00 PM, followed by the women. 
 
Allie Routledge will be the lone jumper in the field, competing in the high jump.
 
Lastly, the day finishes out with the discus beginning with the women’s at 4:30, then the men’s directly after.  For the women’s team, Opp will be taking part in the event. For the men’s team, Sconce and Ward will be participating.
