UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State track & field team will open its outdoor slate with a trip to Philadelphia for the Penn Springtime Invitational on Saturday, March 18 at Franklin Field.
Penn State is coming off a solid indoor campaign where it crowned a First Team All-American, two Big Ten Freshmen of the Year, a Mid-Atlantic Region Assistant Coach of the Year, and a Mid-Atlantic Region Track Athlete of the Year among many others.
The Nittany Lions will send 20 members of its squad to Philadelphia to compete against members of teams from Army, Cornell, LaSalle, Lehigh, Penn, Princeton, Towson, and Villanova.
The team is set to compete in mostly field events, with a few hurdlers and multi-event athletes competing on the track throughout the day.
