The Tar Heel men’s and women’s track and field teams will make their first outdoor appearance close to home when they take part in the Raleigh Relays on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. NC State University will host the meet at the Paul Derr Track (2481 Cates Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27695).
Carolina is slated to bring a fairly large number of competitors to Raleigh against what should be a very competitive field.

• Carolina opened its 2023 outdoor season last weekend with a strong performance at the Bill Webb/Bob Davidson Invitational at High Point University.
• Four Tar Heels won individual titles on Saturday in High Point: Spencer Williams (men’s discus, 48.19m), Paul Signorelli (men’s pole vault elite, 5.07m), Cash Rodriguez (women’s javelin, 45.90m) and McKynzie Mauney (women’s discus, 46.31m).

• After the Raleigh Relays, the Tar Heels will compete at the Duke Invitational on April 6-8 in Durham, N.C.
• Carolina’s outdoor schedule also includes meets at Florida, Virginia, Wake Forest and Liberty.
• The 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Outdoor Championships will be in Raleigh on May 11-13.
