Alabama Track and Field to Host Speed Clinic on Crimson Tide Invitational Weekend


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama track and field will host its Need for Speed: Speed and Power Clinic the same weekend as its annual Crimson Tide Invitational (April 21-22), the team announced Friday. The clinic will be held Sunday, April 23, at the Sam Bailey Track and Field Complex.

The UA staff will share the best drills and technical progressions for improving speed and power for all athletes. Specific drills will focus on accelerative power, top end speed, force production, angles/supplication of force, and more.

Those who sign up during the early registration window will receive a free shirt. Early registration for the clinic ends Wednesday, March 29.

All camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.

The Need for Speed: Speed and Power Clinic – Boys and Girls, Ages 10-18
