RALEIGH, N.C. — The University of Michigan men’s track and field team closed out the Raleigh Relays on Saturday (Mar. 25), with four Wolverines competing in the 800 meters.

Riley Flemington had the Wolverines’ best finish in the event, taking 21st place with a time of 1:50.95 — just two seconds behind his lifetime best. Thomas Shilgalis followed Flemington, finishing 30th with a time of 1:51.27. This was a large improvement him after finishing 90th at the this event last year. Myles Liss-Riordan and Derrick Simmons finished 138th (1:56.82) and 142nd (1:58.89), respectively.

Up next for Michigan will be the Florida Relays, Thursday through Saturday (March 30-April 1) at James G. Pressly Stadium at Percy Beard Track in in Gainesville, Fla. The Wolverines are expected to travel athletes from all event groups at this meet.
