The Scottish 10-Mile Champs take place at Strathclyde Park on Sunday with National Championship medals up for grabs as part of the 59th Tom Scott Memorial Road Races.

Law and District AAC are our hosts for the event which includes the shorter Round the Loch Run as well as the traditional 10-Mile race.

Strong entries have been recorded once again this year, with the longer race once again sold out at 500 entrants and the main Scottish championship medals, including the historic Tom Scott Trophy for first place, are expected to be hotly contested.

In the women’s field, the leading pack is expected to feature the Scottish Half Marathon champion Natasha Phillips (Dundee Hawkhill Harriers) and Ginie Barrand (Metro Aberdeen), the bronze medallist in Inverness.

Also expected to line up are Tom Scott 2015 champion Megan Crawford (Fife AC), Catriona Fraser (Inverness Harriers), Naomi Lang (Carnethy), Sarah Brown (Edinburgh) and Rebecca Burns (Pitreavie).

Similarly, the entry list for the men’s race features Scottish Half champion Fraser Stewart of Cambuslang Harriers and the other two medallists in Inverness – Lewis Rodgers of Fife AC, who took silver, and bronze medallist Hamish Hickey of Central AC.

Among other contenders on the entry list are Calum Phillip (Central AC), Mike Christoforou (Cambuslang Harriers), Christian Graham (Lasswade), James Donald (Dundee Hawkhill Harriers), Adam Baker and Kenny Wilson (Moray RR) and John Bell (Inverclyde).
