Arkansas shot putter, Stanford sprinter and BYU 800-meter runner all produce division’s elite marks, following five collegiate-leading distance efforts on first night in Palo Alto

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The top collegiate performances weren’t reserved for only the elite long distance races at the Stanford Invitational.
Stanford sprinter Udodi Onwuzurike, Arkansas shot putter Jordan West and Brigham Young middle-distance standout Claire Seymour all produced the top NCAA Division 1 marks this season at Cobb Track and Angell Field.

Onwuzurike, representing Nigeria, clocked a wind-legal 10.07 seconds in the men’s 100-meter dash Friday and added another victory Saturday in the 200 with a wind-aided 20.40 performance.
West opened his invitational shot put series Saturday with a 66-0.25 (20.12m) effort, as the Razorbacks took the top two spots, with Jamaican teammate Roje Stona achieving a second-round mark of 62-11.50 (19.19m).
Seymour, a sixth-year athlete who finished fourth Friday in the top section of the women’s 1,500 meters in 4:16.12, returned to win the elite 800 race Saturday in 2:01.96 for the third sub-2:02 performance in her career.
Ralford Mullings, an Arkansas sophomore representing Jamaica, won the invitational discus Friday with a fifth-round mark of 200-5 (61.09m) and the Razorbacks also secured victory in the 4×400 relay in 3:08.42.
Stanford’s Max McKhann supported Onwuzurike with a third-round performance of 216-11 (66.13m) to prevail in the invitational hammer throw.
Long Beach State’s Kash Powell, representing Australia, secured victory in the top section of the men’s 800 in 1:48.41.
Northern Colorado’s Jerome Campbell, representing Jamaica, edged Arkansas’ Matthew Lewis-Banks by a 13.90 to 13.91 margin in the 110-meter hurdles.
Cal State Fullerton’s Reyte Rash triumphed in the men’s 400 hurdles in 51.82, with the Titans also winning the 4×100 in 40.28.
Washington’s Jacob Englar cleared 17-6.50 (5.35m) on his second attempt to win the men’s pole vault.
Academy of Art’s Mathieu Tshani, representing France, rallied with a sixth-round performance of 51-10 (15.80m) to capture the invitational triple jump.
Air Force’s Joe Nizich won the invitational men’s javelin with a 213-foot throw (64.92m) in the third round.
Jason Smith, a Long Beach State graduate competing unattached, secured victory in the men’s long jump with a leap of 25-3.25…
