WALNUT, Calif. — On day one of the Mt. SAC Relays, graduate student Beatrice Juskeviciute completed four of seven events in the elite heptathlon competition. She ranks third among collegiate competitors and sixth overall with a score of 3,548 points heading into day two.
Juskeviciute’s competitors include 2022 U.S. National Pentathlon Champion Chari Hawkins of Team USA, 2023 NCAA pentathlon silver medalist Allie Jones of USC and others.
To open the competition, Juskeviciute posted a personal best time of 13.62 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, which is third in school history.
She cleared 1.62 meters in the high jump.
In the shot put, Juskeviciute finished in fourth place and showed consistency, posting marks of 13.94 meters, 13.23 meters and 13.36 meters. Her 13.94-meter toss is a season best and is fifth-best in program history.
Closing out day one, Juskeviciute clocked a personal best 24.15 seconds in the 200 meters, which is sixth in Vanderbilt history, finishing third.
Thursday’s heptathlon events will begin at 1 p.m. CT with the long jump. At 9:50 p.m. CT, senior Niki Narayani will take the track as she competes in the 10,000 meters.
