CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson track and field program will travel to Gainesville, Fla. to compete at the Tom Jones Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The meet will take place from 1-9 p.m. on Friday and pick back up at 9 a.m. on Saturday and conclude at 6 p.m. The meet will stream on SECN+ and the live results are available here.
The Tigers are off to a strong start to the season, having put up impressive performances in all of their meets to this point. The men’s team is ranked No. 11 in the nation by the USTFCCCA. while the women are placed at No. 52.
The Clemson men are ranked in the top-25 in the 100 meter dash, 400 meter run and 800 meter run. The women are top-30 in the 100 meter dash, 400 meter run, 400 meter hurdles, 800 meter run and the long jump.
The throwers have also been sensational this season. Marie Forbes set the school record in the discus throw and now owns Clemson’s best all-time mark in both the weight throw and the discus throw. She is also No. 2 all-time in the hammer throw, while Daniel Cope is No. 3 all-time in the event.
