RALEIGH – The NC State track and field team wrapped up day two action at the ACC Outdoor Championships on Friday, claiming another individual title and a school record.
After finishing four events in the heptathlon on Thursday, Timara Chapman returned on Friday and finished what she started, claiming the individual ACC Championship for the event with a facility record 5710 points. The graduate student came in first in the 800m (2:16.83), third in the long jump (5.91m), and fifth in the javelin throw (35.29m).
Jamar Davis finished fourth and took home Second-Team All-ACC honors in the men’s triple jump with an effort of 15:45m.
In the men’s 110m hurdles, Cam Murray caught the eyes of the crowd at Paul Derr track, breezing past the finish line in 13.43. This first place time earned him a spot in the finals and the school record for the event.
Ally Henson competed in the women’s 100m hurdles and advanced to the final race after clocking in at 13.47 (13.465), a time which sits as her new personal best and the fifth-best time in NC State history.
