BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The 15th-ranked Wisconsin men’s track and field team wrapped up the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, crowing one event champion and picking up two silver medalists.
“We tried some things – we got away with some, but we didn’t get away with it in other event.” Mick Byrne, Director of Cross Country and Track & Field said. “We won two out of three (championships) this year. If we would have done some different things, maybe we were second or third but Nebraska, all credit to them, they had a great meet.”
The men finished in fourth place with 72 points. Nebraska won the championship with 151 points while Minnesota was second with 122 points.

Redshirt senior Jackson Sharp took home gold in the 1500 meters, leading the race from start to finish. The Australia native used a strong kick over the last 100 meters to hold off three challengers and crossing in 3 minutes, 42.72 seconds.
Silver medals for Johnson, Spencer
