Husker Men Climb to No. 6 in National Rankings

The Nebraska men’s track and field team moved up eight spots to No. 6 in the USTFCCCA Rankings on Monday.

The No. 6 ranking matches the Huskers’ highest ranking this outdoor season. Nebraska won the Big Ten outdoor team championship on Sunday with 151 points, their most at a conference meet since 2004.

The NU women are ranked No. 12 in the nation. The Huskers finished third at the Big Ten meet with 112 points, which was their most points ever at a Big Ten meet. It was also their best Big Ten outdoor finish since placing third in 2016.

Both the men and women are the highest ranked teams in the Midwest Region and in the Big Ten.

Nebraska continues to claim the No. 1 high jump and No. 1 shot put nationally on the men’s side, as well as the No. 1 high jump and No. 1 javelin on the women’s side. NU’s men are No. 2 in the javelin and the women are No. 2 in the shot put.
