Stunning 800m times in Belfast and British juniors gain plenty of Euro under-20 qualifiers in Birmingham plus results round-up from the English county championships

Louise Shanahan won the women’s 800m in a fast 1:59.53 with Abigail Ives having a huge breakthrough as she improved her PB from 2:01.56 to 1:59.92 which places her fourth all-time among British under-20s.
European under-23 champion Isabelle Boffey set a PB of 2:00.18 in third.
World under-20 bronze medallist Ethan Hussey improved his PB to 1:46.18 in winning the men’s race while in third Angus Harrington improved his PB from 1:48.58 to inside 1:47.
Ireland’s Andrew Coscoran won the 3000m from under-20 Nicholas Griggs’ 7:53.24 which was just ahead of James West’s 7:53.25.
