The Sun Devils are coming off the Pac-12 Championships where the Maroon and Gold had one of their best performances in recent years. Two conference champions were crowned, seven medals were earned, and three program records fell over three days at Mt. SAC’s Hilmer Lodge Stadium. Two of the biggest performances of the weekend came from Grace Campbell and the men’s 4×400. Campbell set a personal record for the fourth consecutive meet en route to claiming ASU’s first high jump gold medal since 2004. The 4×4 squad claimed ASU’s first 4×4 title since 2014. Program records came from Adriana Tatum (200m), Jeremiah Curry (200m) and Christina Warren (triple jump).

Last Year at the NCAA West Prelims

ASU sent 30 qualifiers to the 2022 West Prelims and saw 11 of those punch their tickets to the national championships. The group was highlighted by national champions Turner Washington and Jorinde van Klinken, then-freshman Adriana Tatum, freshman phenom Dayton Carlson, and national sprinting standout Justin Robinson. Van Klinken has since transferred to Oregon and Carlson was shut shortly into the outdoor season, but Washington, Tatum and Robinson are all back and competing at full strength.
