Under the direction of first-year head coach Duane Ross, Tennessee qualified 29 individuals and four relay teams totaling 41 entries at the regional competition. The top 12 finishers in each event will advance to the NCAA National Championships, which will be held June 7-10 at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.
Tennessee’s group in Jacksonville will feature 19 top-12 seeds, highlighted by graduate student and reigning SEC Champion Devon Brooks who owns the East Region’s top mark in the men’s 110-meter hurdles at 13.26. Lady Vol fifth-year senior Charisma Taylor stands out on the women’s side with her name entered in four events: 100-meter hurdles, long jump, triple jump and the 4×100-meter relay.
