The Running Academy Cross Country Camp is celebrating its 20th year and is currently accepting applications for campers. Camp will take place August 14th-19th at Camp Wah Nee in Torrington, CT. Deposit must be received by June 18th to receive the early tuition fee of $695. After that date, the fee increases to $725.
At The Running Academy, we aim to educate and motivate young male and female distance runners. We believe that all runners can improve and achieve their goals through hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude. During our week together we build a sense of community that lasts into the season and beyond.
Campers will participate in two runs per day in and around Camp Wah-Nee in Torrington, CT. Wah-Nee is a premier camp facility, with a lake, a pool, shower facilities in each cabin, a weight room and plenty of indoor and outdoor meeting facilities. We run in nearby parks, trails and seldom traveled roads while campers enjoy the beauty of Litchfield County.
The Running Academy Cross Country Camp features lectures and motivational talks from world-class runners, coaches, sports medicine personnel, and some of the top college runners in the nation.Â
To be eligible to attend, campers must be entering 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.Â
