The outdoor track and field conference championships across Connecticut started last week and will conclude this week as teams conclude their regular season. While most people would agree the state championships are more prestigious, there is something special about the conference championships where you compete against teams you have seen all season and are usually from your general area of the state. That makes these meets even more personal and exciting. In addition to previews already posted, MySportsResults provides the following update of conference meets that are the culmination of the season’s worth of hard work by dedicated athletes and coaches.
CTC West T&F Championships
The Connecticut Technical West Championships finished last week with Kaynor Tech of Waterbury sweeping both boys and girls titles in the five team competition. Complete results are available from Athletic.net at https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/511225/results/all
Berkshire League OTF Championships
On Saturday, the Berkshire League Outdoor Track and Field Championships were held again at Plumb Hill Playing Fields in Litchfield which saw the Nonnewaug girls and Northwestern boys claim the team titles in this 9 team competition. CCC East Championships
CCC East Outdoor Track and Field Championships at East Hartford HS provided competition between EO Smith East Catholic, East Hartford, Enfield, Manchester, RHAM, South Windsor and Tolland. The host East Hartford girls team emerged with the team title in a close duel with Tolland as EO Smith easily outpointed their opponents for the boys team title. CRAL Championships
The Capital Region Athletic League Outdoor Track and Field Championships were contested today at Weaver HS in Hartford between the 12 teams in the league that featured team titles by the Hartford Magnet Trinity Academy girls team and the Capital Prep Boys team.
