Terps have Strong Showing at NCAA East First Round, Kline Qualifies for Championships


JACKSONVILLE, FL – Four Maryland student-athletes wrapped up competition at the NCAA East First Round.
 
The two days of competition for the Terps were highlighted by Jeff Kline, who’s shot put throw of 18.84m landed him in the top 12 at the meet, meaning he has qualified for the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas starting on June 7th.
 
 
Jayla Bynum (shot put), Kayla Woods (long jump), and Kayla Thorpe (javelin) also competed in the mee, but fell just short of qualifiying for the Championships.
