Lasley, Zelden Earn SEC Community Service Team Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mississippi State’s Julia Lasley and Trent Zelden have earned 2023 SEC Community Service Team honors announced Thursday by the conference office.

Over the course of the year, Lasley’s has participated in Mississippi State University Service Dawgs Day, The Partnership Morning Drop Off, Jackson Water Drive, Pink Dawg Walk (Mississippi State’s walk for breast cancer awareness), SOUP Flag Football Game, The Boys and Girls Club and spent time at the West Point Clay County Animal Shelter. Zelden’s activities include the annual Trick or Treat with our Dawgs where Trent handed out Halloween candy to fans before the soccer game.

The conference names a Community Service Team for each of its league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his or her community through superior service efforts.
