LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Collegiate Women Sports Award presented by Honda went to Iowa basketball’s Caitlin Clark Monday evening in a nationally televised show on CBS Sports Network. She is the second consecutive basketball player to receive the honor, as South Carolina’s Aliyah Boston claimed the 2022 Honda Cup as the nation’s top collegiate female athlete.

The Collegiate Women Sports Award brings the 12 student-athlete who represent the top in NCAA-sanctioned sport to Los Angeles. A pair of the dozen Honda Sport Award winners were Gators and both were in Los Angeles for Monday’s award show. Florida’s duo – Jasmine Moore (track & field) and Trinity Thomas (gymnastics) – marked the fourth time the University of Florida had two or more sport award winners.

The 12 are narrowed to three finalists. This year, the three finalists were: Clark, Logan Eggleston (Texas/volleyball) and Rose Zhang (Stanford/golf).

Florida is No. 3 all-time with 28 Honda Award recipients. Gator winners in eight sports leads all programs (Texas and UCLA each with winners in seven different sports).
