CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois men’s and women’s cross country teams announced their upcoming 2023 schedule on Tuesday. The Illini have seven meets scheduled, including four regular-season and three postseason events.
The season begins with the lone home meet, the Illini Open, on Sept. 1 at the UI Arboretum. They follow that up one week later with a trip north to Madison, Wisconsin, for the Badger Open on Sept. 8, which will serve as a preview for the facilities used during the conference championships later in the season.
After two meets in the span of one week, the Illini will get a full three weeks off before traveling to Columbia, Missouri, on Sept. 29 for the Gans At Mizzou meet. They close out their regular season on Oct. 14 at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Illinois.
To open postseason competition, the Illini make a trip back up to Madison for the Big Ten Championships on Oct. 27. The NCAA Midwest Regionals are two weeks later, on Nov. 10, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They close out the 2023 season a little over one week later at the NCAA Championships in Charlottesville, Virginia. on Nov. 18.
