TeeTee Terry won a gold medal with USA’s 4x100m relay team and Yemi John and Nicole Yeargin with Great Britain and Kyra Constantine with Canada advanced to the women’s 4x400m relay final during the eighth day of the 2023 World Athletics Championships held in Budapest, Hungary today (Aug. 26).
- Terry (USC, 2021) ran the second leg for USA’s gold medal-winning 4x100m relay which ran a meet-record time of 41.03 to take the title. Jamaica finished second with a season-best time of 41.21 and Great Britain placed third with a season-best time of 41.97. Terry and Team USA’s relay team ran 41.59 on Aug. 24 to advance to the final.
- Constantine (USC, 2021) ran the third leg for Canada’s 4x400m relay which advanced to tomorrow’s final with a time of 3:23.29. Nicole Yeargin (USC, 2021) and Yemi John (sophomore) ran the third and anchor legs respectively for Great Britain’s 4x400m relay which ran 3:23.33. Canada was second and Great Britain third among the qualifiers to the final.
- On Aug. 24, Andre De Grasse (USC, 2015) placed sixth in the men’s 200m final with a time of 20.14 (-0.2).
