Neal Named ACC Men’s XC Freshman Of The Week

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – UNC freshman Aiden Neal earned ACC Cross Country Men’s Freshman of the Week honors following a top 10 finish in the season-opening meet this past Friday.

The Manchester, Md., native opened his collegiate cross country career with a 10^th-place finish at the Charlotte Opener, posting a time of 14:58.2. He was the seventh Tar Heel to cross the finish, but the first freshman in the field.

The Tar Heels will return to competition at the adidas XC Challenge on Friday, Sept. 15. It will be held in Cary, N.C., at the WakeMed Soccer Park Cross Country Course.
