Gators Women’s Cross Country Rise to No. 8 in Updated USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Coaches Poll


The women’s program also holds possession of the No. 1 spot in the South Region.

 

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators Women’s Cross Country team has moved up one spot to No. 8 newest edition of the USTFCCA NCAA Division I National Coaches’ Poll.
 
The team’s rise in the rankings is courtesy of a first-place finish in the Mountain Dew Invitational. The victory was highlighted by Allison Wilson placing first overall as well as five other Florida runners finishing in the top twenty including Liina Winborn, Vasileia Spyrou, Rylee Pustilnik, Olivia Jones and Sayla Donnelley.
 
The team totaled 38 points which was enough to beat out Vanderbilt by four and secure the first-place finish on their home course.
