SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – UCLA Cross Country completed its day of competition at the 2023 Bill Dellinger Invitational hosted by the University of Oregon with a sixth-place finish on the women’s side and a team ninth for the men’s squad.
The men got things started at 11 a.m. in the 8000m race, and the Bruins were off and running. Patrick Curulla finished as UCLA’s top scorer, placing 26th in the race (24:22.3). Mateo Bianchi (24:37.2) and Harrison Dance (24:37.4) displayed strong pack running to finish side-by-side for the Bruins.
UCLA women’s cross country was up next in the 6000m race, which began at 11:45 a.m. in Springfield. Mia Kane (20:41.7) improved on her time from the LMU South Bay Twilight and finished as UCLA’s top runner for the second-consecutive meet. Chloe Browne (28th, 20:53.3) joined Kane in the top 30 runners of the race.
