The Sun Devil cross country teams are getting ready to compete in the postseason, as this years Pac-12 championships are hosted by University of Washington and will commence on Friday, October 27 at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place.
Both of the championship races will be aired on Pac-12 Network and on the Pac-12 Now app. The men’s 8k race is slated for 10:10 am PT/MST and the women’s 6k for 11:10 am PT/MST.

“We are grateful to be coaching at this last Pac-12 Championships. It’s bittersweet to be leaving the conference of Champions,” says head coach Ryan Ray. “I know the team will be running extra hard knowing it’s the last one.”
TV COVERAGE
The Pac-12 Cross Country Championships will be broadcast live on Friday, Oct. 27 for the seventh consecutive year and called by Jim Watson. The events will also be available to stream live for authenticated subscribers via the Pac-12 Now app and Pac-12.com.
SEASON HISTORY
The Sun Devils competed in three meets throughout the fall season. Their first meet of the season was in Flagstaff, AZ. Johnathan Estrada led the men’s team at 22:34.6 (seventh) and Claire Le Gallo led the women’s side at 15:11.7 (sixth). Their second meet of the season was down south in Tucson. The men’s team was once again led by Johnny Estrada with a time of 25:10.5 (18th) and the women’s team was led by Sadie Heeringa at 21:29.1 (11th). The final meet of the regular fall season was in Riverside, CA. This meet was the best meet for the Sun Devils with the men placing tenth and the women placing fourth. Johnny Estrada led the men’s side with a 24:12.3 time (16th) and Sadie Heeringa had a time of 20:38.5 (ninth), which led the women’s team.
“Our top-five women are ready to show up at conference,” said Ray. “They have put in the work, they believe, and they are ready to have a really special day.”
WHAT’S NEXT
Sun Devils with strong results will go on to compete in Sacramento, CA at the NCAA West Regionals on November 10. Team that have qualifying times will then compete in the NCAA Championships on November 18 in Charlottesville, VA.
