THE LINE UP
Head coach Kyle Kepler sends 10 runners to the conference championships once again with Karli Branch, Morgan Jensen, Ellie Lundgreen and Maddie Reed the four with experience running at the championships. Branch and Jensen will have a leg up on their teammates having ran on this course before when the Pac-12 Championships were held at Chambers Creek Regional Park last in the spring of 2021 after the fall season was pushed to the spring due to COVID-19.

This will be Lundgreen’s first Pac-12 Championships race since her freshman year in 2019 where she finished 51st overall as Utah’s seventh runner to cross. This Friday also serves as the second time racing at the conference championships for Reed. Jensen will compete in her fourth-straight Pac-12 Championships while Branch makes her third-career appearance at the conference meet.

Making their debut at the Pac-12 Championships for Utah will be McKaylie Caesar, Caroline Fischer, Kyla Martin, Clara Mayfield, Katarzyna Nowakowska and Anna Peters. Martin, Nowkowska and Peters are all freshmen while Caesar and Mayfield have had plenty of experience at a conference meet at their previous schools.
