TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of Miami cross-country team will travel to Tallahassee, Florida, to compete in the 2023 ACC Cross Country Championships on Friday morning at Apalachee Regional Park.
The men’s 8K championship is scheduled to begin at 8:40 a.m. ET, followed by the women’s 6K championship at 9:30 a.m.
ACC Network will provide live coverage of the men’s 8K and women’s 6K races, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Live results will be available during both events and are listed HERE.
Junior runner Daphnee Lavassas looks to put on another solid performance at this year’s conference championships. Last year, the Miami, Florida, native finished 28 in a pool of 128 runners in the women’s 6K, clocking a time of 20:24.6.
Lavassas is coming off her best performance of the 2023 season two weeks ago at the Alabama Crimson Classic, where she finished fourth in a field of 217 runners in the women’s 5.846K.
Junior runner Austen Cannon also looks to carry his momentum into the conference championship after posting 24:39.6 two weeks ago in the men’s 8.018k, his best time of the season.
