SAN FRANCISCO – Utah cross country grad transfer McKaylie Caesar was officially named Second-Team All-Pac-12 on Thursday by the league after placing ninth to lead the Women of Utah at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships last Friday.
Â
This is Caesar’s second-career all-conference honor, but her first as a member of the Utah cross country team. It also marks the fifth-straight season the Utes have had someone garner all-league honors.
Â
The Lindsay, Calif., native ran well all race for Utah, staying within the top-10 group before passing teammate Anna Peters to secure her ninth-place finish thanks to a PR run of 19:36.0 at the championships on Oct. 27. It was the first time that she had been Utah’s low stick in her three races in the Utah singlet.
